As the landscape surrounding sexual and domestic violence continues to change, and research continues to emerge, the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance aims to provide new and relevant information that professionals in this field are hungry for. The Action Alliance is hosting a conference in Glen Allen, Virginia from May 2nd-4th, at the Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center to help professionals working with all ages, from youth to mature adults, use trauma-informed practices to respond to, prevent, and heal from violence.
The three days will cover:

This conference is open to any and all professions who respond to sexual and intimate partner violence, including advocates, preventionists, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, health professionals, social services, and more!
Attorney General Mark Herring, Secretary of Health and Human Resources Daniel Carey, M.D., and Commissioner of the Department of Social Services, Duke Storen, will join us for our dinner reception on May 2nd!

The Action Alliance is committed to prioritizing the work and voices of those who have been historically marginalized and oppressed in society and in our movement. As such, we seek to create learning opportunities that are accessible to our diverse membership and allies and are offering a limited amount of partial scholarships to help cover the cost of registration ($250) for this conference to assist those who would not be able to attend otherwise.
